Association of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine of Ukraine, together with the National Research Center for Radiation Medicine of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, with the support of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, has organized and conducted, during May 11 – 12, 2017, in Odessa, annual Scientific and Practical Conference “Prospects for Diagnosis and Treatment of Hematologic Diseases”.
The Conference was attended by more than 100 specialists from different specialties from all over Ukraine in order to discuss problematic issues of diagnosis and modern methods of treatment in hematology. The rapid pace of development of science, the emergence of new, often revolutionary, technologies, and the need to master modern methods of diagnostics of blood oncodiseases require doctors’ continuous education. Therefore, it was so important for specialists to meet each other in order to exchange by progressive skills and views, and also to increase mutual scientific interest in the field of hematology and laboratory medicine. During the conference, experts from different regions of Ukraine, Germany, Italy, and Belarus, both practitioners and students, have discussed current trends in patient management and laboratory support in hematology. The unanimous opinion of the participants was that there is the need for the introduction of evidence-based modern algorithms for examination, and of protocols for the treatment, of hematologic patients, as well as for the use of high-tech equipment. Due to the Conference participants representativeness and to the serious work of the Conference organizers, many bright ideas and suggestions were discussed. Participants of the Conference worked successfully and fruitfully, the skills were exchanged effectively, as well as the new scientific achievements.
