The EFLM Working Group Cardiac Markers has performed several surveys on the use and implementation of cardiac markers in European countries, US and Canada. The results of the previous surveys (2006, 2010, 2013, 2019) have been published in several articles.
EFLM Working Group Cardiac Markers has started collaboration with European Society of Cardiology (ESC) in order to have also clinician view for the use and implementation of cardiac markers. This present survey is a joint project with the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC), the Association for Acute CardioVascular Care (ACVC) and the European Society for Emergency Medicine (EUSEM).
