ABOUT THE SPEAKER :
Dr. Kleanthi Dima is Associate Professor in Hellenic Kapodistrian University of Athens, Medical School. She has a degree in biology, an MSc in biochemistry, and a PhD in clinical chemistry. She has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Texas at San Antonio, USA and at Queen’s University Hospital, Nottingham, UK. She has the specialty of Clinical Chemistry from the National Board of Health and is a member of the accreditation body of the National System of Accreditation. She is a member in scientific societies and has authored publications in peer-reviewed journals, as well as numerous abstracts and textbook chapters. From 2005 until 2015 she was appointed director of the Clinical Biochemistry Department of Attikon University Hospital in Athens. The last years she is focused on the establishment of POCT in the EDs of the public sector hospitals and health centers. |
