ABOUT THE SPEAKER :
Tatiana Vavilova was educated at the First Leningrad Medical Institute in 1968-1974 and specialized in surgery, anaesthesiology and resuscitation. Later, her practice focused on clinical and laboratory haemostasiology. Currently, she is the Head of Laboratory Medicine and Genetics Department at the Almazov National Medical Research Centre (Saint-Petersburg, Russia). She also holds the position of the chief specialist in clinical laboratory diagnostics of the Ministry of Health of Russia.
Her research activities focus on haemostasis disorders, the risks of thrombosis and antithrombotic therapy. The results of her research were presented at all ISTH congresses since 2003, in numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts. Tatiana Vavilova is a well-known lecturer in Russia and post-Soviet countries. |
