The IFCC is happy to announce the result of the ballot for the election of the President-elect, to commence the term of office on January 1st 2023. 

The ballot was concluded on September 30th 2022. In summary 77 societies voted (out of 89 having the right to vote), giving preferences as follows:

Prof. Tomris Ozben

(Turkish Biochemical Society – TBS)

received votes: 45 (58,44%)

Prof. Michael Neumaier

(German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine – DGKL)

received votes: 19 (24,68%)

Prof. Tahir Pillay

(South African Association for Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine – SAACB)

received votes: 13 (16,88%)
